BRISTOL, Tenn. - Elliott Sadler led the Gillett Evernham Motorsports qualifying effort this afternoon for the Sharpie 500. Sadler piloted the No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge to a 10th place starting spot.

Kasey Kahne followed suite in the Budweiser Dodge with a 13th place starting spot.

Patrick Carpentier battled a loose racetrack and failed to qualify for the night race at Bristol. It was the No. 10 Valvoline Dodge’s first failed effort to make the field in a traditional qualifying attempt in 2008.
