Qualifying Results for the LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway
- Kasey Kahne and the No. 9 Budweiser Ford team will start 12th in Saturday night’s LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway after posting a fast lap of 29.653 seconds and a speed of 182.106 mph in Friday evening’s qualifying session.
- Kahne posted the 13th-fastest lap time during the first practice session and had a loose-handling Budweiser Ford as the team focused on race runs. The team focused on qualifying runs in the 45-minute final practice and Kahne posted the 15th-fastest lap time.
- Jamie McMurray grabbed the pole position with a lap of 29.421 seconds and a speed of 183.542 mph. Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle and Sam Hornish Jr. round out the top five qualifiers.
Kahne discusses his qualifying run at Chicagoland: “It felt good in (Turns) 1 and 2, but felt like I didn’t get to (Turns) 3 and 4 very good. I was sliding the front. I feel better in race trim and hopefully that will be a good sign for tomorrow.”

- Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge, will start 22nd.
- Driving the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota, Reed Sorenson will start 24th.
- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolet team will start 25th.
- Matt Kenseth and the No. 17 Crown Royal Black Ford team will start 34th.
- Scott Speed, driver of the No. 82 Red Bull Toyota, will start 39th.
The following is the starting position of the other Richard Petty Motorsports teams participating in the LifeLock.com 400 race weekend:
- Paul Menard and the No. 98 Moen/Menards Ford team will start ninth.
- A.J. Allmendinger and the No. 43 Geek Squad Ford team will start 13th.
- Elliott Sadler and the No. 19 Stanley Ford team will start 16th.
TNT will broadcast the LifeLock.com 400 on Saturday night. The pre-race show is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by race coverage at 6:30 p.m. CT. Live radio coverage will be provided by MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
